Constance Prince Maurice promotes the rich biodiversity of the East

The flora and wildlife surrounding Constance Prince Maurice in Mauritius is unique and has a rich tropical biodiversity; the large native mangrove forest (Rhizophora mucronata) and the Barachois protected fish sanctuary, especially.

Le Barachois at Constance Prince MauriceTo encourage guests to explore these lush natural surroundings, the hotel management has put together the "Constance Prince Maurice Coastal Directory" in collaboration with Reef Conservation, a non-governmental organization. This small guide, available free of charge to guests, explains all about the flora and wildlife surrounding Constance Prince Maurice.

"Our environmental commitment dates back to 2013 when we put a 'green' strategy in place as part of a plan to gain Green Globe certification. Since then, we have taken several steps to preserve our natural environment which has resulted in a remarkable 14% reduction in energy consumption. Today, we are fully committed to caring about the environment in order to reduce our carbon footprint and we are proud to have achieved a conformity score of 89% for our Green Globe certification in 2016, " Stephan Lagesse, Hotel Manager ( at Constance Prince Maurice at that time) emphasizes.
Stephan was responsible for the Constance Prince Maurice Coastal Directory design and publication and now manages Constance Ephelia in Seychelles.
