This October, Constance Halaveli welcomes Chef Marco Campanella for a culinary collaboration inspired by the island, its surroundings and the art of bringing people together around a table.
A two-Michelin-starred chef and Gault&Millau Chef of the Year 2025, Marco Campanella is known for a cuisine that places exceptional ingredients at the centre. Seasonality, precision and restraint shape his approach, allowing each ingredient to retain its own voice while becoming part of a greater composition.
It is a philosophy that feels naturally at home at Halaveli, where nature is not simply a backdrop, but part of the story.
Inspired by where land meets ocean
For this collaboration, Marco will look beyond the familiar language of Maldivian cuisine to interpret Halaveli through his own culinary lens.
The inspiration begins with the island itself, its ocean, its rhythm, its natural surroundings and, at its very foundation, coral.
Like coral growing layer upon layer while remaining rooted to its source, Halaveli continues to evolve while preserving what lies at its heart. Marco's collaboration becomes another layer in that story: a meeting of places, philosophies and flavours.
His journey will culminate in an exclusive dinner, at Jing Restaurant, created especially for this new chapter of Constance Halaveli.
More than a dinner
At Constance Halaveli, an evening around the table is about more than what arrives on the plate. It begins with the setting, the anticipation and the people who shape each moment.
On 13 October, the evening begins at Jing Bar, as the sun sets over the Indian Ocean, with a signature cocktail by Emanuele Balestra, an introduction to his world of scent, flavour and sensory storytelling.
From there, guests will move to Jing Restaurant for an exclusive dinner by Marco Campanella, where his precise, ingredient-led cuisine will offer his own interpretation of Halaveli.
Two distinct sensory expressions, unfolding one after another, and connected by the same spirit of discovery, creativity and conviviality.
Together, they create an evening that moves from sunset to supper, from cocktail to cuisine and offers a taste of Halaveli's new chapter through the eyes of two exceptional talents.
