For 50 years, Constance Hotels & Resorts has offered more than escapes. Our people have created joyous moments and unforgettable memories - these moments have been shaped not only by place, but by people. 

To mark our 50th anniversary, we are turning to those who have always been at the heart of what we do. From pioneers who have been with us every step of the way to new arrivals, every member of the Constance Hotels & Resorts family has a story of care, connection and pride.

 On this 50th anniversary celebration, we are proud to share the stories of some of our team members, one whose story is rooted in the artistry of wine, the other in the rhythm and nature of the Indian Ocean.

Sreejith Menon

Constance Halaveli, Maldives

8 years with Constance Hotels & Resorts

At Constance Halaveli, Maldives, one of our Head Sommeliers, Sreejith Menon has spent the last eight years writing his own chapter in our legacy. Having also previously worked at Constance Ephelia in the Seychelles for over four years, he has honed not only a speciality craft, but his calling. 

From the moment a guest steps onto the jetty, Sreejith ensures their experience begins with grace, including a carefully chosen arrival drink, or something lovingly selected from past preferences. It's these touches, the small, unseen details, that leave a lasting impression.

His approach to hospitality is one of harmony. Working closely with our chefs,  Sreejith orchestrates wine and food journeys that are carefully curated to delight. Each pour, each plate, is designed not only to bring joy to the senses, but to tell a story that enhances a trip away into something truly unforgettable. 

There are many memorable moments that truly define one’s passion at Constance Hotels & Resorts, for Sreejith, one came beneath a twinkling starlit dinner. A couple celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary found themselves dining by candlelight in the Jing Wine Cellar. The sommelier (Sreejith) poured a rare Hermitage Blanc to accompany the evening’s main course, and with it came something more than flavour, it brought feeling. At the end of the meal, the guest reached out, not just with thanks, but with awe, saying “you didn’t just serve us wine - you gave us a moment we’ll never forget.” It is in times like these that the true spirit of Constance Hotels & Resorts is revealed.

Elena Zanella

Constance Tsarabanjina, Madagascar

17 years with Constance Hotels & Resorts

Before joining Constance Tsarabanjina, another one of our team members spent her days immersed in the natural world, studying sea turtles, protecting coral reefs, and listening deeply to the song of the ocean. As a marine biologist, science was her starting point, but it was a deep sense of belonging for nature that shaped her path forward. 

At Constance Hotels & Resorts, Elena found a new purpose - not just to connect with the sea, but to help others discover the depths of its beauty and flair. To this day, Elena shares this genuine passion with guests, guiding them through experiences that are rooted in respect for the environment and a deep connection to local culture.

Elena shared her most memorable moment of her career with us. During one excursion with a group of returning guests, the boat slowed to a gentle drift. Then, from the deep, came the low, echoing call of a whale. Everyone fell silent. No words, no camera clicks, just awe. In that moment, something unsaid passed between them, a connection not just within nature, but to each other. “That,” she reflects, “was the moment I truly felt the magic of Constance Hotels & Resorts”.

Sylvabelle Angeline

Constance Prince Maurice, Mauritius 

18 years with Constance Hotels & Resorts

Sylvabelle joined Constance Prince Maurice back in 2006, and now nearly two decades later, she has progressed to Executive Assistant Manager, a role that symbolises both her dedication and our commitment to recognising and nurturing talent.

“My growth within the group is one of the things I’m most proud of,” she reflects. “It shows the group knows how to recognise its people.” Her story is one of care, persistence and the quiet magic that comes from building lasting relationships.

For Sylvabelle, the true spirit of Constance Hotels & Resorts lies in the emotional moments, the ones that stay long after a guest departs. 

Thin Lai Yi Oo

Constance Moofushi, Maldives

3 years with Constance Hotels and Resorts

Thin Lai Yi Oo plays a key role in creating memorable first impressions at Constance Moofushi. As Sales & PR Assistant, her work goes beyond logistics,  she helps set the tone for the exceptional experiences that follow.

One moment that remains close to her heart was the return of a couple who had stayed at the resort before. As they approached the reception desk, they immediately recognised her. “She was the one who did our check-in last time,” they told a colleague, warmly calling her by name. “It reminded me,” she shares, “that the way we make people feel truly stays with them – sometimes even more than the place itself”.

For Thin, the magic of Constance Hotels & Resorts is often in the small moments that unfold behind the scenes – the way a team moves gracefully to anticipate every need, how creativity and care meet in the details, and how a shared commitment to true hospitality transforms a simple stay into something remarkable.

Her own moment of pride came when she led the Front Office team in the 2024 BLITZ competition, a platform for innovation across the resorts. Together, they developed a Virtual Island Tour, available in multiple languages, now shown in every guest villa.

Chinet Crisolo

Constance Halaveli, Maldives

4 years with Constance Hotels & Resorts

For Chinet Crisolo, being part of Constance’s 50-year legacy means upholding a deep-rooted tradition of care while continuously evolving to meet each guest’s unique needs. “At the spa, every detail matters,” Chinet shares. “From the calm of the treatment space to understanding a guest’s preferences, it’s about creating a personalised journey of wellbeing”.

Her proudest moment came in August 2025, when her team at Constance Halaveli achieved the highest spa revenue since 2018, without compromising on guest satisfaction - “It reminded me that true success happens when care and performance go hand in hand”.

To Chinet, Constance is more than a luxury destination, it's a place where guests reconnect with themselves, and leave feeling renewed in every sense.

Giovanna Gentile

Constance Sakoa, Mauritius

3 years with Constance Hotels & Resorts

Since joining Constance in 2022, Giovanna has brought empathy and precision to every part of the guest experience. One of her proudest moments came in 2024, leading the transformation and reopening of Constance Sakoa. From retraining the team to refining every detail, she helped shape a space that fully reflects the Constance spirit. “Seeing guests arrive and immediately feel the difference was incredibly rewarding.”

For Giovanna, true hospitality reveals itself in the quiet, human moments - like the time she cared for a pregnant guest who had fallen ill far from home. “She told me she had never felt so looked after outside her own house,” Giovanna recalls. “It reminded me that luxury is not just comfort — it’s care.”

To Giovanna, being part of Constance’s 50-year legacy is both an honour and a responsibility. “We’re not just creating beautiful stays — we’re creating moments guests carry with them long after they leave”.

Each team member reminisces on the lessons their journeys have taught them. For Sreejith, it’s the quiet power of humility and passion, values that have shaped every moment of his eight years with us. 

For Constance Tsarabanjina resident manager, Elena, the lesson has been truly believing that people and nature are at the heart of everything. 

For Sylvabelle, it’s the art of refining. Her experience working with guests who have high expectations has sharpened her precision, improved her efficiency, and helped her shape both her vision and her actions. 

For Thin, she understands that being patient, listening carefully, and attending to even the smallest requests can make a meaningful difference. When guests feel truly understood and cared for, that’s when the magic of their experience comes to life.

For Chinet, leadership means consistency, not just in standards, but in spirit. And for Giovanna, the soul of Constance lies in moments of care that transform a stay into a lasting memory.
