Montgomerie looks to end superb year in style

It seems only fitting that Colin Montgomerie’s magnificent 2015 season
should draw a conclusion in the Indian Ocean as his career has been a glorious Indian Summer so far.

A competitive renaissance at 2015 MCB Tour Championship is guaranteed …

It is already assured that the fifth edition of the event, will witness for the second year in succession, the crowning of Montgomerie as the European Senior Tour’s number one golfer, awarded to the player who tops the Order of Merit.

Colin Montgomerie

“Knowing that I have won the John Jacobs Trophy in my first two full seasons
on the Senior Tour is a real honour, and hopefully, I can round off another great year
with a good performance in Mauritius.” says Montgomerie !

Colin Montgomerie, who is no stranger to the prestigious golf competition as well as Constance Belle Mare Plage is looking forward to the forth coming week:
But irrespective of where I finish, I am sure I will enjoy the tournament because it is a beautiful place and a wonderful week.

Constance Belle Mare Plage

Second in the Order of Merit and a two-time winner this year, Peter Fowler shares the same feeling:
“It’s such a fabulous end to the season… I enjoy playing in the heat and I enjoy the challenge
of the course at Constance Belle Mare Plage because you have to play some really good golf to score well.

Other contestants include Paul Broadhurst; a Ryder Cup veteran and
China’s Lianwei Zhang the first Chinese golfer to win on the European Tour.
Broadhurst and Zhang are realistic opponents, but the early focus will be on the two men who fought out an extraordinary six-hole play-off 12 months ago

Paul Broadhurst

England’s Paul Wesselingh was eventually triumphant and in so doing successfully defended his title, which means that this year he is in line to complete an unprecedented hat-trick, but he’s not letting history distract him.

“I’m definitely not thinking of making it three at the moment,” he says.
“There’s a depth of quality on the European Senior Tour and some people lose sight of that,
but not me, I know how tough it is to win out here.”

Barry Lane is back again this year and we are in for another strong performance!
The scene is set for a superb season finale and the Legends Golf Course
is the perfect stage for the action to be played out.

The action starts on Friday morning, 11th December!
