Raise your glass & let’s celebrate!

Among all holidays celebrated, we must admit that some are more interesting than others…like this 29th of August which celebrates the International Cabernet Sauvignon Day

Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc

It is believed that this extraordinary variety was created in the 17th century when an accidental crossing between Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc took place.

This accidental crossing gave birth to a brand new grape, offering new taste, flavour, textures as well as an incredible array of wines!

For all wine lovers & flavour seekers!

And this 29th of August, we have special recommendations from our sommeliers for all wine lovers & flavour seekers!

Our Sommelier, Liina Jaumdally at Constance Belle Mare Plage suggests having a marbled grilled beef or a thyme roasted duck breasts with your Cabernet Sauvignon on the 29th!

For those who are not in a hurry, she proposes a long braised stew and pot roast in rich black pepper and mushrooms sauce.

For those who prefer lamb, Cyril recommends a fine Screaming eagle, Oakville 2006 with a Butterflied lamb leg!

Jerome Carlier – Head Sommelier at Constance Le Prince Maurice :

Jerome at his turn chooses a Kendall Jackson Grand Reserve, Cabernet Sauvignon 2006 for the day to be enjoyed with Australian Black Angus beef tenderloin.

Available at Constance Le Prince Maurice for three years now, Jerome is spellbound each time he opens a Kendall Jackson Grand Reserve, Cabernet Sauvignon 2006 – surely because of the rich aroma of lush blackberry and cassis with notes of cedar, vanilla and a hint of mocha on the finish!

Another tempting recommendation, this time from our sommelier at Constance Tsarabanjina:

Zebu Carpaccio with a Glen Carlou Cabernet Sauvignon 2011

Deep red garnet with a ruby hue, this wine unveils vibrant aromas of ripe red berries and black currants with a touch of fine spiciness on the finish...

Glen Carlou Cabernet Sauvignon 2011 is available at Constance Tsarabanjina in the house wine selection.

Lastly, for a superb three course, Cabernet Sauvignon pairing, follow the suggestions of our Sommeliers at Constance Moofushi
