6 weeks in Seychelles

Are you undecided about travelling? Cannot decide if travelling to Seychelles is a wise decision or not?

Meet Laura and Alex, digitally known at @lauralexfly, an adventurous couple who loves taking the road less travelled. Laura who is originally from Estonia and Alex from Germany met each other almost 10 years ago in Greece.
Ever since, they have lived in 5 different countries: Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, the US, and now the UK. They have travelled to more than 70 countries across 4 continents together.
They live to travel and their list of new destinations keep expanding.

Here’s about their stay in Seychelles:

Was it your 1st time in Seychelles?
"Yes, it was our first time but certainly not the last. Seychelles became one of our favourite places we have visited. We were sad to leave at the end of our 6-weeks stay and will definitely come back one day."

Did you enjoy the food and drinks during your stay? Being a vegan, was it an issue?
"Seychelles are quite vegan friendly if you don’t mind eating vegetable curry. Fortunately, this happens to be one of our favourite dishes. Another great thing about Seychelles is its abundance of fresh local fruits such as papaya, mango, coconut and many different varieties of bananas. We also found vendors selling local avocado, pineapple, starfruit, and jackfruit which were great."

Share your favourite meal - why was it your favourite?
"Some of the most memorable culinary experiences of our 6 weeks Seychelles trip came from Constance hotels. The Creole Vegetable Curry at Nest restaurant (Constance Lemuria) was outstanding. Over the course of 6 weeks in Seychelles, we tried many different vegetable curries across different islands. The one at the Nest is our favourite.

We also loved Adam and Eve restaurant at Constance Ephelia, which was very vegan friendly and the food was excellent, some of the best Thai food we have come across outside of Thailand.

Over the course of several evenings, we managed to try every vegan dish on the menu and loved it all but their Coconut Soup was particularly superb. In terms of favourite dinner, the fine dining experience in the Diva restaurant (Constance Lemuria) stood out. A delicious 5-course vegan menu and wines."

Tell us about your Villa/Suite. What did you like best?
"The room in the Constance Lemuria seemed newly refurbished and was only steps away from the beach where turtles come to lay their eggs."

Between Constance Ephelia and Constance Lemuria, which one is your favourite and why?
"As a couple, we definitely preferred the Lemuria. You can’t beat the beauty of Anse Georgette."

You were in Seychelles when the UK announced the lockdown - how did you feel and your thoughts at that time?
"We made the best out of it and enjoyed Seychelles for an extra month after our return flights were cancelled. We can’t really say we were too disappointed."

What little touch from our teams, did you appreciate most and want to enjoy again?
"We really loved the vegan set menu that the chefs of Diva restaurant at Constance Lemuria created for us. It’s rare to find fine dining options as a vegan and we certainly expect anything like it in Seychelles. The menu itself was excellent and we would love to eat there again when we come back to Seychelles."

Tell us about the spa at Constance Lemuria?
"A very nice experience with very friendly staff. We liked the peaceful environment and the open-air design of the treatment rooms."

Share your thoughts on the sanitary measures you noticed at both Constance Ephelia and Constance Lemuria.
"We felt very safe during our stay. We appreciated that we could manage our entire stay in the Constance app so we could avoid in-person interactions. The app contains everything from a chat with guest services to restaurant menus. Not only does it keep everyone safe, but it is also very convenient."

Tell us about your Constance moment*.
"Sundowners at Tee 18 overlooking the stunning Anse Georgette, the most beautiful beach in Praslin
