Travel blogger WhyWasteAnnualLeave discovered that perfect beaches, friendly service, excellent food, and vanilla tea all combine to create a genuine paradise at Constance Lémuria, Seychelles.

When Shikha of WhyWasteAnnualLeave was greeted with the phrase ‘Welcome to paradise’ on her recent visit to Lémuria, she thought it was simply an expression, until she had a look around.

The infinity pool took their breath away

‘Our laughs were instantaneously replaced with the jaw dropping silence of realising he was speaking the truth,’ she writes on her blog, ‘as he dramatically opened the weighty, wooden doors of the Constance Lémuria Luxury Resort that did indeed lead to paradise.’

Drawn to Lémuria because it is situated on the quiet Seychelles island of Praslin, Shikha writes that she was delighted by the, ‘beautiful beaches in the Seychelles’ visiting the ‘boulder lined’ Anse Kerlan and ‘idyllic’ Anse Georgette.

She describes, ‘The hotel provides free towels and charming little picnic hampers with a charge for a day out on Anse Georgette. We did not order one but when we saw couples lazing around and picking tasty treats, we felt rather envious!’

The pair enjoyed romantic meals in stunning settings

Other highlights Shikha describes were the sumptuous food, including a very special lobster dinner served on the rocks with the ocean waves below, and a trip to the U Spa for a facial which she describes as leaving her feeling as though her face ‘may just float into thin air’.
