THE FESTIVAL
This week-long event comprises three phases:
1. The culinary contest.
2. The evening dedicated to the tasting of the dishes concocted by the 6 European Chefs
contending for the award. The dinner organized specially for the discovery of the cuisine of the Chefs in attendance.
3. The Prize-giving and Gala evening. |

THE CULINARY
COMPETITION
Sunday 14
Visit of Grand Bassin, Domaine St Felix and lunch at Le Cerf
d'Or restaurant.
Discovery of the dish, the chefs will be able to discover
the menu they will have to create on their own way.
Monday 15
Drawing lot of the 6 teams at Blue Penny Café & visiting
the Port Louis market to trigger contact and exchange of knowledge
of the local produce among the European Chefs and the cooks
from Constance Hotels Experience.
Tuesday 16
Trial, preparation and test of the new recipes and dishes
by the teams (1 European Chef and 1 Island Chef)
allowing them to perfect the dishes to be presented on the
final day of the competition.
Wednesday 17
Second day trial by the teams (1 European Chef and Island
Chef)
allowing them to perfect the dishes to be presented on the
final day of the competition.
Thursday 18
The Final.
The European Chefs withdraw from their respective team leaving
the Island Chefs to prepare all by themselves the dishes perfected
with their counterpart.

Friday 19th March 2010
6-STAR DINNER AT CONSTANCE BELLE MARE PLAGE
DISCOVER THE CUISINE OF THE EUROPEAN CHEFS
During that evening the 6 Chefs will demonstrate their culinary talent. Each one carries out
one of the 6 dishes. Thus, a « 6-star » menu will be presented to any interested guest staying
at the hotel at that time as well as to the members of the press and all persons present for the
event.

Saturday 20th March 2010
WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT AND GALA EVENING
Gala evening during which the winning tandem will be proclaimed followed by a dinner put
together by Patrick Bertron, Chef of the Relais Bernard Loiseau (3 stars Michelin) and Frédéric
Goisset, Chef of Blue Penny Café, gastronomic restaurant of Constance Belle Mare Plage.
• The results of the contest are announced during a cocktail followed by dinner which will
be held at the restaurant Deer Hunter.
• This special evening ends with a dancing party.
