Job title: ASSISTANT FINANCIAL CONTROLLER - Constance Hotels Experience
The Assistant Financial Controller assists the Area Financial Controller in all his duties and responsibilities and is called to replace him at the head of the department whenever he is absent. As such, she/he is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the day-to-day accounting duties and efficiency.
Duties & Responsibilities:
•Must be familiar with procedures and standards of the hotel.
•Attests to accuracy of General Ledger
•Should prepare all compliance documents
•Support audits of Financial Statements
•Ensure proper Accounting Procedures are in place
•Check and verify accounts and ensure accuracy
•Check and verify monthly reports for Management
•Ensure accurate reports and records are in compliance with accounting standards
•Prepare and assist in monthly other various reports
•Assist the Financial Controller in the day to day operations of the department
•Establish and maintain effective employees relation.
•Conducts, in close collaboration of the Financial Controller, such functions as interviewing, hiring, employee orientation, on-the-job performance, coaching, counseling and suspension if necessary to ensure appropriate staffing and products.
•Perform any other duty as may be assigned by the Management
Experience & Qualifications:
At least three years experience in a similar position with in a five star environment
•Experience in the hotel, leisure or retail sector
•Excellent supervisory experience
•Relevant degree, in Finance, Accounting or related business discipline, from an academic institution
•Full understanding of financial operating systems and procedures
•Strong influencing, leadership skills, inter-personal and communication skills
•Excellent analytical skills
